Rupit is a charming medieval town dramatically nestled in a spectacular natural environment within the municipality of Rupit i Pruit. The stone used in the houses, the streets, the squares, and the bridges in the town seem to converse with the craggy rocks and the forests of Collsacabra, which give it context. Strolling aimlessly and discovering its nooks and crannies is like traveling four or five centuries back in time, on a journey that enables you to witness the true essence of local tradition.

Salt de Sallent is one of the most impressive waterfalls in Spain and is located near Rupit in the region of Catalonia.

VOLCANIC ZONE & NATURAL PARK

The Fageda d’en Jordà is a stunning forest of beech trees, which forms part of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park. Its landscapes have been the source of inspiration for many artists and will enchant and captivate all visitors who come here.

The Fageda d'en Jordà is one of the 26 nature reserves that form part of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park, extending across the municipalities of Santa Pau, Olot, and Les Preses. It is a stunning forest of beech trees growing on lava flow from the Croscat Santa Margarida, found at a much lower elevation than usual for this type of tree.

PROGRAM

⏱️ Meeting point at 8:45 am Plaza España in front of La Fira. Bus departs at 9:00 am, be punctual, we can’t wait!

• 11:30 am: Arrival at Rupit and start our tour in nature 🌲

• 2:00 pm: Back to Rupit and free time to eat (we recommend bringing food if you want to save money and time)

• 3:00 pm: We meet again at the bus

• 4:00 pm: Arrive at Fageda Park and start our walk to the Volcanic Zone

• 6:00 pm: Time to go back home

• 8:00 pm: Arrival in Barcelona
