RUPIT

Rupit is a charming mediaeval town dramatically nestled in a spectacular natural environment within the municipality of Rupit i Pruit. The stone used in the houses, the streets, the squares and the bridges in the town seem to converse with the craggy rocks and the forests of Collsacabra which give it context. Strolling aimlessly and discovering its nooks and crannies is like travelling four or five centuries back in time, on a journey which enables you to witness the true essence of local tradition.

Salt de Sallent is one of the more impressive waterfalls in Spain and is located near Rupit in the region Catalonia.

VOLCANIC ZONE & NATURAL PARK

The Fageda d’en Jordà is a stunning forest of beech trees, which forms part of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park, and its landscapes that have been the source of inspiration for many artists will also enchant and captivate all visitors who come here.

The Fageda d'en Jordà is one of the 26 nature reserves that form part of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park, extending across the municipalities of Santa Pau, Olot and Les Preses.

It is a stunning forest of beech trees growing on lava flow from the Croscat Santa Margarida and which are to be found at a much lower elevation than usual for this type of tree.

PROGRAM

08:45: meeting point Plaza d'Espanya

09:00: buses move! BE ON TIME!

parada en autopista (buy food and use toilets)

11:15: We get to Rupit

We go to the Cascade of Sallent

Its a really simple and amazing tour in Rupit. During the whole tour (45min walking 1 way) you will see amazing landscapes from the zone till arriving to the 110m Waterfall

13:30: Meeting point at the bus, we head to Fageda d'en Jorda and Natural Volcanic Park of la Garrotxa

14:30: We arrive to Fageda Parc and start our walk throught the woods, visit Volcan Croscat and Santa Margarita

18:00: Meeting point at the bus, is time to get back to Barcelona!

21:00: we arrive at Barcelona.
