Siurana & Montblanc

Siurana: Upon arriving at Siurana you will discover a small fairytale village that has a deep-rooted memory of endless sieges and improbable conquests. Perched on a rock in the river, Siurana was thought to be impregnable, above a reservoir of the same name.

Nowadays, visitors can wander around a charming hamlet with cobbled streets and look at the remains of the Moorish castle presiding over the entrance to the village. At the foot of the mountain there is a reservoir with clean and calm waters, where one can take part in all sorts of water sports.

The most impressive building nowadays in Siurana is the Romanesque church. It was built after Berenguer IV's troops conquered Siurana, in order to bring Christianity back to the region. The doorway has been exceptionally well preserved with a figurine tympanum, framed by three rounded archivolts resting on capitels with various decorative motifs.

Montblanc: It possesses an incredibly interesting medieval site, not lacking walled-in premises, which is also one of the best preserved in Cataluña. Its historic quarter has the Property of Cultural Interest designation.

The best option for seeing the village is to leave your vehicle outside the wall and visit the old quarter on foot. Highlights among the most notable constructions that it houses include: the Archpriest Church of Santa María la Mayor (Gothic, 14th-16th centuries), with a Baroque front (17th century); the Sant Miquel Church, with a Romanesque façade (13th century) and Gothic body (14th century); and the Sant Marçal Church, also Gothic (14th century).

◆ 09:00: The bus will move (PLEASE BE ON TIME).

◆ 11:00 arrive to Siurana and time to visit

◆ 13:30: we move to Montblanc 

◆ 14:30: arrive to Montblanc. Free time to visit and have a lunch

◆ 18:00: we will meet again (in the same point where the bus left us).

◆ 20:00 arrive to Barcelona.
